Mark Weaver, M.A., LPCC-S holds a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Mark has served 37 years in the mental health field which has included being the Clinical Coordinator of Rapha at Richland Hospital (a faith-based inpatient psychiatric program) and 35 years working in the community mental health arena. He has provided both clinical and administration supervision at times during his years of practice. As a clinical counselor, Mark is able to independently diagnosis and treat mental and emotional disorders.
Mark has a history of providing mental health services that include vocational services, psycho-social rehabilitation, crisis services, community education and prevention services, and psycho-therapy. He has provided treatment to all age ranges and to individuals from a wide variety of beliefs, values, and lifestyles. His treatment experience has included group, individual, and inter-personal relationship therapy. He has a treatment approach that has a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Treatment that is trauma informed and relationship based and has a strong emphasis on self-care, personal growth, and healing practices. Mark has a long background of helping individuals integrate their Christian faith into their treatment and move toward wholeness. He also provides training and education services to a wide array of groups and organizations.
Mark is married, has four children, and an ever-growing number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He and his wife have a history of foster parenting. They enjoy a variety of activities including “adventure” hikes, biking, swimming, an assortment of playground activities, visiting museums, and involvement in small groups and ministries. He likes exercise and holds a black belt in Kenpo Karate.
